Marriage and Civil Unions

Love is about living in the moment and creating memories together. Whether the union is between a man and a woman or a same sex marriage, I would be honoured to be part of your special day.

    

What can you expect?

First Contact:

  • Website enquiry, email, phone call or text from you to let me know your exciting news
  • Give a brief explanation of what you are wanting as a couple 
  • Preferred Marriage or Civil Union Venue, date and time
  • Request a suitable time to meet

Response:

  • Reply to arrange meeting

First Meeting:

  • Establish rapport and get to know you as a couple
  • Tell me about yourselves
  • Identify your wishes - venue, date and time
  • General overview
  • Establish what has already been decided and organised
  • Expectations of Celebrant from you as a couple
  • Explaining creative design and initial exploring of ideas
  • Contact details given and confirm identity of couple when necessary

Thinking stage:

  • Time for both parties to think over discussions and see if there are any changes needed

Second Meeting:

  • Putting it all together (There may be a need for more meetings)
  • In depth planning - detail plus!
  • Ceremony design and writing of the full ceremony by me as your Celebrant
  • At this stage the rehearsal time and date are confirmed and the appropriate parties will have been advised of the need to attend the rehearsal

Rehearsal:

  • This is an ideal opportunity for anyone giving a reading to have a practice.  The music and/or sound systems must be checked for compatibility.

Ceremony:

  • I will arrive early, usually 30-45 minutes before the bride to ensure all is well
  • I will meet with your family and the Wedding party present.
  • I will then conduct the Ceremony
  • After the conclusion of the Ceremony I will remain for the initial integration stage and depart at an appropriate time

Follow Up:

  • I will contact you with a phone call or visit to personally thank you both for the privilege of participating in your ceremony.  I would love this opportunity to congratulate you on such a beautiful occasion and request two things from you in return:
